Burma day of prayer 2010

Burma is one of the poorest countries in the world.

It is ruled by one of the world’s most brutal regimes, guilty of every possible human rights violation.

It also has one of the worst records of religious persecution in the world.

The people of Burma need our prayers.

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the democratically elected leader of Burma who has spent fourteen of the last nineteen years under house arrest, asked Christians around the world to pray for Burma, which is why the Global Day of Prayer for Burma was created. Help answer her call by taking part in the Burma Day of Prayer on 13 March 2010.

Join CSW supporters and staff at the Emmanuel Centre in London for an exciting and challenging day of prayer – and have the unique opportunity to participate in contemporary Burmese worship and hear firsthand accounts from victims of persecution in Burma.

If you can’t attend the London event, why not use CSW’s free resources to hold your own prayer event for Burma? The people of Burma would be so encouraged to know that people across the UK were praying for them on this special day.

The Burma day of prayer 2010 will be held on 13 March.
