Eritrea day of prayer and protest

Thursday 30 May 2013, London N1

In May 2002 the Eritrean Government closed every church except those belonging to three denominations. Since then thousands of Christians have been detained indefinitely without charge or trial in truly inhumane conditions, including many from ‘permitted churches’.

Please join us to protest against these injustices and to pray for God’s intervention.

Middle East Day of Prayer

Saturday 22 June 2013, London SW7

Join CSW and United Action for Egyptian Christians (UAFEC) for an ecumenical day of prayer for the Middle East.

This is an important opportunity to stand in solidarity and prayer with Middle Eastern Christians who are currently facing many kinds of persecution and hardship. As the Arab Uprisings gathered pace in 2011 there has also been a steep increase in the persecution of Christians and other religious minorities, who were already living in very difficult circumstances.

Invite a speaker

Following a visit from CSW’s National Director, Stuart Windsor, one church leader commented,

“hearing first hand from someone who had visited Christians suffering for their faith, was excellent. People were shocked, but keen to respond - they were inspired to take up the challenge of speaking out, lobbying politicians and sending cards directly to those suffering.”
