Become a Rep
Being a CSW Rep is all about bringing the needs of our persecuted family to the local church. Quite simply, CSW couldn’t do its work without Reps!
They’re the key people in each church who stir others into prayer and action for persecuted believers and others who face injustice. As a Rep you will mobilise the rest of the Church to live out the scriptural mandate to “continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering” (Hebrews 13:3).
The best thing is that it’s easy!! There’s no minimum or maximum time commitment and we’ve got lots of suggestions for how you can engage your church with persecuted believers.
What would I do as a CSW Rep?
You would keep your church informed about the issues and help people get involved by passing on updates which we will send you.
Reps help by:
- Showing solidarity – encouraging small groups to use our address book, Connect & Encourage, to write cards of encouragement.
- Mobilising activists -collecting signatures for campaign petitions.
- Raising prayer – bringing prayer needs to church services
- Spreading the word - getting a CSW speaker along a church service.
- Being an ambassador for CSW - publicising CSW events to church members.
- Providing for CSW’s work – organising small events to raise funds.
Each rep brings their own unique flavour and personality to CSW, which leaves you entirely free to make best use of your gifts in God’s service!
