Fundraising Volunteer:

To assist the fundraising team in trust research and database administration.

Availability
At least two/three days a week during standard office hours (Monday to Friday, 9.30-5.00)

Desired skills and experience:

• Good understanding of MS Office
• Good skills in on-line researches
• Experience in using databases, especially The Raiser’s Edge

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly and approachable personality
• Ability to work on own initiative within agreed guidelines
• Competent in use of the internet and email

Office administrative volunteer

What will I do?
By providing administrative help to our busy Communications department, you will be helping CSW to increase our supporter database, and consequently the scope of CSW’s very important work. Based in the CSW (London) office, you will learn more about the work of which CSW carries out, along with gaining experience of teamwork and office administration. You will provide vital help in corresponding with CSW supporters, which may include putting together supporter packs, general office assistance, website and printed materials research, typing, and more!

How much time will I need to give?
It is preferable for an administrative volunteer to be in the office for a minimum of a morning or afternoon at a time, depending on the projects taking place at a given time.

What do I need for the role?
• A commitment to CSW’s Statement of Faith, mission and values
• Good organizational and administrative skills (including attention to detail)
• The ability to pick up tasks quickly
• Someone to recommend you to us for the job/s

How will you support me?
We will make sure you are thoroughly briefed and trained for the role and will cover your traveling expenses. We will also encourage you and make sure you feel a part of the CSW team!

How will I benefit?

Advocacy volunteer

There are a range of different tasks you can do to help out in our advocacy department including:

• Using research and writing skills to update and create human rights and religious liberty reports.
• Assisting Advocacy Staff with their work, including arranging schedules, proof-reading, filing, conducting internet-based and library-based research, liaising with CSW supporters, writing letters to officials, compiling reports.
• You will need a commitment to CSW’s statement of faith, mission and values.

Supporter development volunteer

What will I do?
Working primarily in the CSW (London) office, you will lean more about the practical side of equipping CSW’s supporters particularly in the areas of Church Representatives and Speaking Engagements. You will help administrate both areas, which will include using the CSW database called The Raiser’s Edge. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to carry out speaking engagements yourself if you are keen to assist in this area and if you are referenced to do so.

How much time will I need to give?
Ideally, we are looking for someone who would be able to help one or two days a week; however, we realise that that is not always attainable.  We would like for you to be able to help a minimum of half a day each week.

What do I need for the role?
• A commitment to CSW’s Statement of Faith, mission and values
• Good organizational and administrative skills (including attention to detail)
• Excellent communication skills (for the role of speaking on behalf of CSW)
• Someone to recommend you to us for the job/s

How will you support me?
We will make sure you are thoroughly briefed and trained for the role and will cover your traveling expenses. We will also encourage you and make sure you feel a part of the CSW team!

Events volunteer

What will I do?
For each event where you agree to help there will be a number of activities for you to get involved in:
• Guiding and advising visitors to the CSW stand, answering questions and explaining where they can get further information
• Keeping the stand clean, tidy and stocked up on resources!


How much time will I need to give?
Before each event we will discuss the time commitment with you. In order to make sure the stand is staffed for the whole of the event we may ask you to work some unsociable hours! We organise a rota to ensure appropriate rest periods. We will also need your help before the start and after the event to help with setting up and dismantling the exhibition stands and resources.

What do I need for the role?
• A commitment to CSW’s Statement of Faith, mission and values
• Good communication skills and the ability to start conversations
• Enthusiasm and flexibility
• Stamina
• The ability to work in a team

How will you support me?
The CSW member of staff responsible for the event will discuss all the details with you and will give one-to-one support and guidance throughout. We will cover your transport, catering and accommodation costs during the event.

Event set-up volunteer

What will I do?
For each event where you agree to help we would like you to assist with:
• Setting up exhibition display stands
• Displaying resources
• Packing and dismantling exhibition display stands after the event
• Packing up resources

How much time will I need to give?
We will discuss the likely time commitment with you before each event. We will probably need you to help for several hours before the start of the event and for no more than three to four hours afterwards. We may ask you to work some unsociable hours. It is important that you are able to start assembling displays at a specified time and to complete the dismantling promptly.

What do I need to do the role?
• A commitment to CSW’s Statement of Faith, mission and values
• Physical strength and stamina
• An appreciation of display techniques
• The ability to work in a team to a tight deadline

How will you support me?
CSW’s Events Manager will discuss the detail of each event and any practical arrangements with you before you start. We will supply you with all the display material, equipment and resources that you need. We will cover reasonable transport, catering and accommodation costs during the event.

Chauffeur

Drive your car for CSW!

Do you have a car, a clean driver’s licence and some spare time to help the persecuted Church? If so, CSW needs your help!

We’re looking for special volunteers who can offer their car and driving skills to transport visiting speakers and VIP guests during their visits to the CSW office and to important meetings in London.

You’ll need to be friendly, reliable and fairly flexible, with a heart for persecuted Christians and an appreciation of the sensitive nature of CSW’s work. CSW is able to reimburse you for petrol and other relevant expenses.
