Write to the persecuted ChurchWriting letters or cards is a wonderful way to offer encouragement to those who are facing religious persecution – it lets them know that someone cares about their suffering, and it can also show governments and local authorities that people around the world are taking interest in a particular case or prisoner.

The individuals in Connect & Encourage – from human rights activists and lawyers to pastors and persecuted Christians and their families – would benefit tremendously from your letters or notes.  In fact, it is a privilege to be able to support them in this special way.

Why not take a few minutes to write to a prisoner, either individually or as part of a small group?  Even a short note can bring a huge amount of support!

LADS (Legal aid for Destitute and Settlements) are a small group of Christian lawyers who often represent individuals who have been charged under section 295C of Pakistan’s penal code – the notorious Blasphemy Law – which makes blasphemy of the prophet Muhammad punishable by death (this is usually commuted to life imprisonment). Over recent years, many Christians have been falsely accused under this law and the lawyers defending them can often be subject to threats.
