18-24 October 2026
Sunday 18 October
Thank God for the release of Pastor Ezra Jin Mingri. Pray that he and his family would be richly blessed and that he would recover swiftly from his unjust imprisonment. Pray also for the acquittal and release of the remaining Zion Church leaders.

Monday 19 October
On 5 August, Pastor David Tang and six other employees of Purpose Driven Church were taken into custody by Wenzhou police. We later learnt they were being held at a detention centre in Shanghai, but at the time of writing, the authorities still haven’t explained why. Pray for their immediate and unconditional release, and for answers.
Tuesday 20 October
Pray for an end to the severe persecution of the Falun Gong community. The Falun Dafa Infocenter has documented the deaths of over 5,000 Falun Gong practitioners because of torture or abuse since the group was declared illegal in 1999.
Wednesday 21 October
‘Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save.’ (Isaiah 59:1). Pray that those who have been subjected to transnational repression by the Chinese government would know that God can reach further and move far more effectively than the CCP.
Thursday 22 October
Last year the Buddhist Association of China adopted legal measures which effectively exclude non-Han Buddhists (i.e. ethnic minorities) from official recognition as religious leaders. This is yet another aspect of the Sinicization of religion. Pray that the measures are overturned.
Friday 23 October
Pastor Li Jie and Elder Han Xiaodong of Linfen Covenant Home Church were released on 16 April, having completed sentences of three years and eight months on unfounded ‘fraud’ charges. Give thanks for their release, and pray that God would right the grave injustice they were subjected to.
Saturday 24 October
Lord Jesus, thank you that there is nothing that can be hidden from you, that there is no captive you cannot draw near to, and no injustice that you cannot overturn. Bring freedom to all who are detained unjustly, and miraculous transformation to China that will reverberate around the world. Amen.
