Father of the whole world, we thank you for the faith of your children in Cuba, who live out their beliefs under daily threat.

This week, please:

• Thank God for the extraordinary testimonies of Christians such as Pastor Mario Felix Lleonart Barroso, whose words inspire us in our own walk.
• Pray that Pastor Lleonart would continue to stand strong in his faith, and be filled to overflowing with joy and hope.
• Lift up to God all the Christians in Cuba who experience discrimination and harassment on a daily basis in their schools and workplaces.
• Ask God to give wisdom, insight and inspiration to Christian leaders, as they negotiate the politics around them and try to do their best for their congregations.
• Thank God that Christians in Cuba continue to be inspired by God’s instructions to love, not hate our enemies. Ask Him to fill them anew with love for all those who persecute them.
• Pray for true religious freedom to flood the nation of Cuba.
