Lord Jesus, you taught us to pray for those who mistreat us (Luke 6:28), help us as we pray for those who mistreat your Church.

This week, please:

• Pray for compassion for the leaders of countries that suppress religious freedom, such as Eritrea, and Iran.
• Pray for mercy for those in authority in the nations of China and North Korea.
• Pray a blessing upon those who oppress freedom in Burma and Cuba, that they would become a channel of peace.
• Pray for reconciliation between the injured and the injurers. Pray that forgiveness may be sought.
• Pray for wisdom for those that govern, that they would govern justly.
• May God grant His Church an attitude of forgiveness and the continuing faith to bless and pray for those who oppose them.
