So many of the injustices we see in our world today are rooted in hatred that\u2019s learned in a child\u2019s early years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At school in Cuba, Stephanie (above) was targeted by teachers as a way to get to her father, a church leader. This tactic can be very effective \u2013 even the courageous people will say, \u201cThey can do anything to me, but the moment you touch my family, that I cannot take.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/74fae7e3f680d6b02e8421777d9fc4e8.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><i>My name is Farzana Khan.* I am a 15-year-old Ahmadi Muslim. A few of the children in my school told the other students, \u201cShe is Ahmadi, don\u2019t play with her or eat with her, and stop treating her normally.\u2019\u2019 They punished me, they used to strike me with sticks, and tell me not to sit with the other kids. I haven\u2019t told anyone in my new school that I am Ahmadi.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 27 February we launched our report on this issue at Parliament, and were delighted to see so many people pledge their support to the campaign.
