Over 90 people were killed and more than 50,000 people displaced during a wave of anti-Christian attacks.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our hearts break, Lord, when we think of the suffering of the bereaved widows. Please bless them with Your comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This week, please:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Pray that the attackers would be brought to justice, despite India&#8217;s notoriously slow legal system.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray that the widows, many of whom are now struggling to survive, would be provided for.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray that the charities and churches which are trying to help them would be wise about the best ways of doing this.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Ask God to give victims of violence courage to speak out about their experiences.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray for the pending appeal to the Supreme Court, to reopen 30 murder cases which were closed without investigation.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Ask God to make violence against religious minorities in India a thing of the past.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The widows of the 2008 violence in Orissa State, India, are still waiting for justice.
