Christmas is a time of immeasurable joy for the Church. Yet it\u2019s also a time of great danger for many of her members. As we prepare to receive Jesus Christ into our hearts and homes once more, let\u2019s remember all those around the world who are prevented from doing so in freedom and safety. Pray the following prayer every day this week, asking the Incarnate Word to protect and bless all those facing injustice for believing in him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of one who brings good news.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord Jesus Christ, may those who suffer discrimination, harassment and all forms of injustice because they belong to you be reminded of the good news you bring to earth. This Christmas, and always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the radiant light of God\u2019s glory and the perfect copy of his nature, sustaining the universe by his powerful command.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus, Light of the World, shine your transforming light into the darkest corners of this world; may the places where there is no freedom, justice or peace radiate your glory and power. Now and forevermore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have made their gladness greater, you have made their joy increase.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son of God, the joy which your incarnation brought to the world cannot be contained in words. May the Church throughout the world be filled with an inexpressible joy. Today and every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For there is a child born for us, a son given to us.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emmanuel \u2013 God with us. Be near to all those around the world suffering for their faith. May they find immense consolation knowing that they need never suffer alone, for you are by their side. Until the end of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today in the town of David a saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The miracle of Christmas brought salvation to the world. May all Christians in every corner of the world be reminded of the hope and assurance they have in you, knowing that you are their Saviour. Today and for all eternity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace to men who enjoy his favour.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
