Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are encouraged to contribute to this process through written submissions before a Member State is reviewed. NGO submissions are then compiled into a &#8220;Stakeholder report&#8221; which is then presented to the Member State in question.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christian Solidarity Worldwide, a human rights NGO specialising in freedom of religion or belief (FORB) for all people, wishes to draw attention to India&#8217;s domestic human rights situation over the period 2007-2011 with respect to its international obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CSW wishes to focus specifically on the right to FORB. Although India has a generally strong legislative framework protecting this right, there are some important exceptions to this.
