Lord we lift up to You the Kachin people. We pray for your provision, protection and comfort for the 75,000 refugees and internally displaced people. We ask You to move in power to bring an end to the Burma Army’s attacks on civilians.

This week, please:

• Pray for political prisoners who remain imprisoned, despite other releases earlier this year.
• Pray for the Rohingya Muslim population who are denied citizenship and are severely repressed by the military regime despite having lived in Burma for hundreds of years.
• Pray that the ceasefires in Karen, Shan, Chin and other states where ethnic people groups have been under oppression, will lead to a meaningful peace process and political solution
• Pray for protection and wisdom for Aung San Sui Kyi, especially following her visit to Europe.
• Pray that there will be positive legislative and constitutional reform, paving the way to a truly free Burma.
• Pray that God will bless CSW’s advocacy work and the East Asia team as they tackle these issues.
