This week is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. We work with Christians of all denominations and backgrounds, so unity is vital; just as it is for Christians in the countries in which we work.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.” Psalm 133

This week please:

• Thank God that he is a God of relationship and unity;
• Pray that the worldwide Church would work together to support all those facing harassment, discrimination or persecution because of their beliefs;
• Pray that Christians who are facing persecution would put aside minor differences and speak out against injustice with one voice;
• Thank God for the Mandalay District Christian Fellowship as they seek to model unity to Christians in other parts of Burma;
• Ask God to bring unity to churches in Eritrea, where only three denominations are legally permitted;
• Pray for harmony and reconciliation among the various Christian denominations in Mexico as they face increasing religious freedom violations;
• Pray for Christian politicians around the world that they would work together for good despite political differences.
