As Egypt’s autumn parliamentary elections approach,CSW urges the interim government to allow international observers to monitor the election process and encourages the worldwide.

This week, please:

• Heavenly Father, we thank You for uniting millions of Christians to pray for Egypt and its religious minorities. Thank You for the many prayers that You have already answered. Humbly we ask that You will continue to hear us as we cry out for the needs of this nation.
• Pray for the swift emergence of strong, effective political parties that support equality of citizenship and justice.
• Pray for wisdom for the Egyptian Church as they engage in the democracy process and encourage Christians to make informed decisions.
• Pray for more moderate Muslims to be actively involved in the inter-faith dialogue and accept others who are different in religion and ideology.
• Pray that Egypt’s Christians will receive equal participation in civic life, preservation of their heritage and freedom to practise their religion.
• Pray for CSW’s advocacy and human rights training for young Egyptian Christian leaders.
• Pray for all the Christian communities who have been affected by religiously-motivated violence.
