Next month CSW will be at the next session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC). Our team will be there to work with the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief. Other issues that will be discussed at the 31st HRC session are human rights defenders, minority issues, and human rights in Burma as well as in North Korea.

We’re so thankful for the continuing success of our work at the UN, including some very promising meetings with the new country representatives in October last year. Hopefully, those will be the start of some good relationships that will really further the cause of human rights at the UN.

This week, please pray:

• Thanking God for CSW’s good standing at the UN and the way we can use that in our work;
• For all that CSW has already achieved at the UN;
• That we would use this council session on human rights effectively;
• For energy and wisdom for our Public Affairs team as they represent CSW at the UN;
• Thanking God for the chance to talk with the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief;
• That the relationships we have established with new country representatives will continue to grow, and will show much fruit;
• That God would continue to give our work for religious freedom a receptive audience among the world’s most powerful decision makers.
