The Religious Liberty Commission (RLC) is a new commission of the Evangelical Alliance (EA) that brings organisations working on behalf of persecute Christians together to speak with one voice. The members of the RLC are CSW, Open Doors, Release International and the EA. Each member organisation has its own distinctive mandate, but all feel the issue of Christian persecution is so important they want to speak together regularly to raise awareness of key developments globally, in a significant and collaborative way.

This week please:

• Thank God for each of the four organisations involved in the RLC and ask him to maintain unity between the organisations;
• Pray that the collective voice of the RLC would be heard by the UK Church, media and politicians;
• Pray for the leadership of the RLC member organisations, that God would grant them clarity and wisdom as they seek to raise the issue of religious persecution;
• This Wednesday the RLC has an event at the House of Commons with Archbishop Welby as the main speaker. Please pray that many church leaders and politicians would attend;
• Ask God to bless the work of other RLCs around the world, including those in Sri Lanka and India;
• Pray for the RLC as it seeks to make sure the issue of Christian persecution stays on the government’s agenda during the forthcoming UK elections;
• Pray for the RLC as it seeks to engage UK churches and church leaders in praying for the persecuted Church around the world.
