Joint book launch for CSW

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) is pleased to announce a joint book launch for Reverend Stuart Windsor, CSW’s National Director, and Canon Andrew White, “The Vicar of Baghdad”, on 8 April at St Michaels Chester Square in London.

God’s Adventurer is an exciting and moving account of Reverend Windsor’s work with persecuted Christians, which has taken him around the world and often to conflict zones, where he has dodged bullets and potential death. His story, and that of the persecuted church, is laced with examples of God’s miraculous provision and protection.

Bishop David Pytches described God’s Adventurer as “Almost unputdownable – racy but nonetheless deeply serious, taking the reader to Iran, Pakistan, Mongolia, Southern Sudan. A great book to get and to give!”

Canon Andrew White faces regular death threats and tragedy in his role the vicar of St George’s Church in Baghdad. In Faith Under Fire: What the Middle East Conflict Has Taught Me About God, he discusses the challenges in his work and personal life, and his faith.

Reverend Windsor and Canon White will be joined by special guests including Jonathan Aitken, Vice Admiral Sir Peter Woodhead and Dr David Barnado, as they share their experiences and their heart for the persecuted church. Signed copies of their books will be available for purchase, and music will be provided by singer and songwriter Bryn Haworth.

From April to June, Reverend Windsor will embark on The Adventure Tour, travelling across the UK from London to Launceston, Glasgow and Belfast, to share his story, and his experiences working with persecuted Christians worldwide.
