Attacks on schools in central and northern Nigeria have increased dramatically. According to UNICEF at least 1 million students could miss school this year because of insecurity. Already, and without warning or explanation, the start of the September term for all schools in the federal capital, Abuja, has been pushed back to an unusually late date.

Schools in vulnerable areas must be better protected. Please join us in calling on the Nigerian government to protect its students before a generation is lost.

Where: Nigerian High Commission, 9 Northumberland Avenue, London, WC2N 5BX

When: 28 October, 1-1:30pm

We will join together in prayer and singing and hear stories of those who were taken, and those who are living daily with this threat.

As part of this protest, we are also planning for a small delegation of parliamentarians and church leaders to deliver a letter to the ambassador.
