Between 25 and 30 church leaders are assassinated every year, simply for taking a stand against the rebels because of their faith. But CSW has been working with the Church in Colombia for years, equipping them to take a stand against what they&#8217;ve suffered for so long.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">THIS WEEK, PLEASE:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Lift up the government of Colombia to God. Ask Him to bless each official and give them a longing for justice in their country, and the wisdom to make that happen.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray that God will change the hearts of leaders of the armed groups in Colombia, so that they will see a way to work towards peace.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray that individual guerilla soldiers will be moved to lay down their weapons and refuse to fight any more.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray for Christians who have lost loved ones to the conflict, that they would be able to forgive the attackers and find comfort in God.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray that everyone who has suffered persecution would have the courage to speak up about their experiences so that the truth can be known.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Ask God to pour out His comfort and peace on those who are still struggling with the effects of the trauma they&#8217;ve experienced.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Thank God for the courage and faith of the people CSW met who have lost everything but still have hearts of praise.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been many heart-breaking decades of civil war in Colombia, and the flood of violence hasn&#8217;t left the Church untouched.
