But it is also a time of hope. Not the sort of uncertain hope that depends on our circumstances, but a resurrection, living hope. It\u2019s a hope that is steadfast and certain because of an event that has already happened \u2013 Easter.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.&#8221; 1 Peter 1:3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This week please:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Pray that those who are facing an uncertain Easter will find hope in the resurrection of Jesus;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Ask God to protect Christians in the run up to Easter as they may face greater threats;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray that there would be no attacks on churches over the Easter weekend;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Give thanks for those who have been released from prison since last Easter, and continue to pray for those still unjustly held;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray for peace and hope to reign in northern Nigeria and other places of conflict;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Pray that, as we remember Jesus\u2019 death, he would comfort those who have lost loved ones because of religiously-motivated violence;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Thank God for the new birth into a living hope we have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For many Christians around the world Easter is a time of heightened tension as they face an increased risk of being beaten, harassed or arrested.<\/p>","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":7749,"template":"","regions":[156,152],"class_list":["post-26226","prayer","type-prayer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","regions-nigeria","regions-sub-saharan-africa"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/prayer\/26226","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/prayer"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/prayer"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/prayer\/26226\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":40896,"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/prayer\/26226\/revisions\/40896"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/7749"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=26226"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"regions","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/regions?post=26226"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
