{"id":30668,"date":"2021-07-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-08T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csw-yeo.1wp.site\/reports\/hrc47-oral-statement-during-id-with-the-independent-expert-on-car-5336\/"},"modified":"2026-09-23T19:36:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T18:36:16","slug":"hrc47-oral-statement-during-id-with-the-independent-expert-on-car-5336","status":"publish","type":"reports","link":"https:\/\/www.csw.org.uk\/zh\/reports\/hrc47-oral-statement-during-id-with-the-independent-expert-on-car-5336\/","title":{"rendered":"HRC47: Oral statement during ID with the Independent Expert on CAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/c3fe6fce2aaf3d672e8740cc6758ee20.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Item 10:<\/b> Interactive Dialogue with the Independent Expert on the situation of human rights in the Central African Republic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Organisation:<\/b> Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Speaker:<\/b>\u57c3\u5229\u65af\u00b7\u5e0c\u65af\u5229<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you, Madame President,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CSW thanks the Independent Expert for his update and continued work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are deeply concerned by reports of violations committed by government and allied foreign forces and the impact this may have on national reconciliation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In one incident in February, Russian fighters and members of the Central African Republic Army known as FACA reportedly entered a mosque in Bambari searching for rebel fighters and are alleged to have fired on several unarmed civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March, the UN Working Group on the use of Mercenaries expressed alarm over reports of \u201cviolations of international humanitarian law\u201d in the country, and local observers also accuse Russian paramilitaries of using improvised explosive devices in Lobaye, Haute-Kotto and Ouaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We call for detailed investigations into these allegations, ensuring that all those responsible are held to account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are alarmed by this increasing use of landmines by warring parties. Over a dozen people have been killed by landmines in Ouham-Pend\u00e9 and Nana-Mamb\u00e9r\u00e9 prefectures.
