At CSW, we’re concerned by the grip that extremism has on the nation of Pakistan and the impact on religious minorities in particular. But, we believe that through prayer, partnership and advocacy we can help to create a different future for Pakistan – one which turns the founding vision of Pakistan into reality.

This week, please:

• Pray for Parvez Choudhry and his family, who have had to leave Pakistan due to serious concerns for their safety.
• Lift Cecil Chaudhry to the Lord, as he continues to suffer ill health. Pray for him to be restored to complete health.
• Pray that the worldwide media would be unbiased and accurate in their reporting of events in Pakistan.
• Ask God to continue to comfort the family of Shahbaz Bhatti, the Christian human rights activist and Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs, who was assassinated in March.
• Ask God to continue to move hearts in the UK and around the world to pray for the country of Pakistan.
• Ask God to strengthen the hearts of Pakistani Muslims who have converted to Christianity: to give them courage as they live out their faith in difficult, sometimes life-threatening circumstances.
