After years of advocacy, campaigning, awareness-raising and prayer, the UN is finally appointing a Special Rapporteur to investigate human rights abuses in Eritrea.

Lord, thank You so much for the victory at the UN!

This week, please:

• Ask God to guide the UN to select the right person as Special Rapporteur.
• Thank God that the UN resolution has raised awareness of the situation in Eritrea.
• Lift up to God all who flee Eritrea, risking dangerous journeys for the hope of a new life.
• Ask God to protect refugees in Israel who have endured violent attacks.
• Pray for Patriarch Antonios, the head of the Orthodox Church, who has been under house arrest for years.
• Ask God to protect Christians who live under the daily threat of torture, imprisonment, and death.
