Eric Batista isn’t your ordinary 19-year-old Cuban. He’s a Christian refugee, and his family were forced to leave their home country because of the long campaign of government persecution they endured.

The reason for this persecution? The simple fact that Eric’s mother is a member of a group which protests on behalf of political prisoners, many of whom are in prison in connection with their Christian faith.

Eric and his family are now safe in the USA. And after everything he’s been through, Eric’s still upbeat and positive, trusting in God, and inspiring the people who meet him.

• Pray that God would continue to bless Eric as he adjusts to his new life,
• Pray that Eric and his family would find emotional and spiritual healing from the brutalities they’ve experienced,
• Pray for God to use each member of the family for good works,
• Ask God to bring freedom for all Cubans who suffer because of their faith.
