CSW works with people of all faiths and beliefs. Our vision is a world where everyone is free to believe.

Yes, we are members of the Religious Liberty Partnership, a global alliance of Christian organisations from every continent, united in their commitment to advancing religious freedom for all.

We also work with Open Doors UK and Release International as part of the Religious Liberty Commission. This provides a shared platform for exchanging information on religious freedom violations. This co-operation helps each partner organisation act more effectively within its own area of focus.

We have also hosted joint prayer events together and we took part in a joint fundraising initiative with Release International.

It isn’t always possible to coordinate closely on every case as each organisation has its own priorities, capacities, and ways of working. We assess every situation individually, and even when this isn’t visible, we are often partnering with other groups behind the scenes.

CSW specialises in advocacy for people facing injustice for their religion or belief. As we are not experts in asylum or immigration law, we are unable to help with these cases or make any referrals.

CSW’s remit is advocating for people experiencing violations of their right to freedom of religion or belief in countries where other fundamental freedoms are not respected and avenues for legal redress are compromised. In the UK, anyone who experiences a violation of their fundamental human rights can seek legal redress and there are UK-specialist organisations who are equipped to assist them.

CSW has not had the capacity or sufficient local contacts to undertake in-depth research into human rights violations and abuses in Israel or Palestine.

However, as a human rights organisation, we have over 40 years’ experience in advocating for freedom of religion or belief internationally, including in other countries in the MENA region. Our extensive research into egregious violations and abuses, potential war crimes and emerging genocidal conflicts clearly illustrates that an escalation in atrocities can only lead to greater suffering, and more needless deaths.

CSW therefore concurs with the urgent calls by the United Nations Secretary General, among others, for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza and the safe return of hostages, as initial steps towards the conclusion of a just and lasting peace.

We also call on people of faith around the world to join us in praying for healing for the injured, for comfort for families who have lost loved ones in this tragic conflict, and for peace with justice.
