Prayer diary: Retune

This year we launched Retune, a campaign challenging voices of religious hatred. The issue of religious hatred has been getting more attention recently from the international community, and the UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief produced a report focusing on this problem. Retune is our answer to how the Church can step up to its biblical mandate to be a voice of freedom, justice and peace for everyone!

• Ask God to give wisdom to CSW’s campaigns team, as they plan how best to respond to the problem of religious hatred;
• Pray that hundreds of churches in the UK would get involved in the campaign, showing a strong Christian response to this issue which affects everyone;
• Pray that senior church leaders, in particular Archbishop Welby and Pope Francis, would make it a priority to speak up about religious hatred;
• Pray that the campaign would make a real difference in the lives of people in countries where religious hatred is a part of daily life;
• Thank God for the already strong response from the international community, and the will to see change happen;
• Pray that their words would turn into decisive action;
• Ask God to empower all voices of tolerance and peace.
