On Thursday this week, 15 September, the world celebrates the International Day of Democracy. Human rights, including freedom of religion or belief, flourish in democracies where everyone has a say - the word ‘democracy’ literally means rule by the people.
Every day this week, pray the Bible verse provided here over the countries you’ve read about in this Prayer Diary. Pray that God would raise up people of righteousness, wisdom and justice to work towards the ideals of democracy, including freedom of religion or belief, in their countries.
