CSW is aware of media reports surrounding the accuracy of the testimony of North Korean defector Shin Dong Hyuk.

We are saddened and disappointed by this news. However, the UN Commission of Inquiry into human rights in North Korea relied on the testimony of over 320 people and found there to be widespread and systematic human rights abuses which continue to this day. CSW continues to stand with the people of North Korea and to call for the UN Security Council to act on the report recommendations, including referring North Korea to the International Criminal Court. Click here to read the Commission of Inquiry report.
