Be Strong and take heart: Prayer and protest for Eritrea

Be strong and take heart:
Prayer and protest for Eritrea

On Thursday 25 May at 8pm (UK time) we will gather online to pray for Christians and other prisoners of conscience in Eritrea, and for Eritrean refugees. It will be a simple service, jointly organised by CSW, Church in Chains (Ireland), the Eritrean Orthodox Church in the UK, Human Rights Concern-Eritrea and Release Eritrea. And we hope to have some special guests too.

We’re standing in solidarity with Eritreans who have been imprisoned on account of their faith, and for vulnerable Eritrean refugees. We are also calling on the government to release all prisoners of conscience, and to restore rights and freedoms to Eritrean citizens, including the right to freedom of religion or belief.

Online security: please be assured that we’ll be using a Zoom webinar for this meeting, to protect us from interruptions by counter-protesters or hackers.
